FEMUR: Lost at Mid Fifties Vol. 1 7″

Here we go again!

Femur is back again with a bunch of pretty covers in their own fuzzy way, capturing that ’60s lost sound that only a few can truly recreate. They take covers from the German obscure garage beat band The Phantom Brothers to another fast and slightly harder dimension, as well as Dressed in Black, as The Standells did decades ago, bringing it to a garage-soul mood. On the other hand, we have covers from their beloved Kinks and a fascinating trip to Nowhere Man by The Beatles.

Everything is wrapped in fantastic cover art by Roberto Argüelles, reminiscent of those ’60s punk garage compilations, suggesting that FEMUR may release more volumes in this style. All songs were recorded at Tiki Mansion Studio and mastered by Fernando Pardo.

Don’t miss this captivating Volume 1, Lost At Mid Fifties, from FEMUR, out this December on Chaputa! Records.
