Fruit of the collaboration of 4 talented musicians, who don’t need to introduce themselves – it is quite likely that in your record collections there are copies of their previous bands… – Strengsbrew are one of the rare examples of “super-bands” where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts…

Strengsbrew are a talented, charismatic and seasoned (yet not too old), four-piece band hailing from the twin rock capitols of the world (Stockholm, Sweden and Queens, New York). Formed in 2019 this quartet of musicians produces a sound that is so distinctive and unique, so heavy, driving, and melodic, that you can’t help but rock out as they totally dominate the mid-trans-atlantic music scene while completely redefining the global image of multi-cultural ethnic-rock music today, creating a unique niche within the harder edges of radio rock an’ roll.

Not content to ride on the star-studded coattails of The Hellacopters and the stardom of garage rock legends The Fleshtones, Strengsbrew are opening people’s minds with their driving, emotion-filled music in a unique, unprecedented package. Much like Lee Hazlewood, Sevendust and Hootie and the Blowfish have all changed the face of rock, Strengsbrew – with several members who are American-born, but living in Scandinavia – are poised to prove that music is, indeed, the one true universal language (in a changing new world where music seems to be erasing all existing racial boundaries). With its solidified lineup, Strengsbrew has ignited Scandinavia with their crisp, pop-sensitive driving anthems alongside a loyal following of music lovers both young and young at heart.

Their first single “I Don’t Need Myself” was released in February 2020 on Chaputa! Records. Since then the band has recorded 10 new tracks which now is out on their debut album ”Too Far North” to be released September 16th, 2022. I’ts an amazing album, a record capable of restoring confidence in Rock’n’Roll to anyone who has lost hope in it – which will not be our case, as we always believe that Rock’n’Roll is one of the most powerful forces in the Universe. An album that confirms Strengsbrew as one of the most exciting bands of today.
Hail Rock’n’Roll!… Hail Strengsbrew!

PLAY LOUD!!!

“With STRENGSBREW a transatlantic supergroup has come together, staffed partly with Swedish, partly with US exiles. Thus, on the one hand, MAGGOTS musician Måns P. Månsson and HELLACOPTERS drummer Robert Eriksson are active here, from the other side of the ocean Jim Heneghan, bassist of Scott Morgan’s SOLUTION. Last but not least, they are joined by the great Keith Streng of the “super rock” sensation FLESHTONES, and the quartet is complete. As expected, the four play a hearty garage rock on the first longplayer, but also make excursions into other genres with soulful vocals (Keith!) and occasional excursions into R&B and psychedelic rock. Almost all songs are original compositions, only one cover (“Hold on” by Sharon Tandy / LES FLEUR DE LYS) made it onto the album in a brute version. You can hear from the first to the last minute that the musicians are with maximum commitment and fun in the matter, a really fruitful project has emerged here, which is wished a golden future.”
