Description

New pressing Limited Edition on Purple Vinyl! The seminal, legendary, fantastic 60’s Garage-Punk gem from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!!! The ONLY album that rivals The Sonics on raw 60’s Punk energy and power! A must!

Made your list of the best reissues of the year yet? We’ll save you the trouble: just reserve the top spot for the essential Swamp Rats retrospective Disco Still Sucks!
The wicked torrent of fuzzed-out mayhem these Steel City hooligans burned onto their ’66 and ’67 single-sides is legendary: from a raunchy take on “Louie Louie” that drinks the Kingsmen under the table to a head-smash rendition of the Sonics’ “Psycho” to their gun-powdered cover of the Sparkles’ “No Friend of Mine.”
This first-ever reissue collects all of the Rats’ vintage sides plus four bona-fide killers from the vaults, including an original muscle car fuzz romp called “Hey Freak”; an extended version of “Tobacco Road” that’s a shotgun wedding of Nashville Teens R&B hedonism and Blues Magoos Bronx bombshells; a fine garage ballad called “I’m Going Home,” and a spiffy cover of the Kinks’ “She’s Got Everything.”
Complete with unseen photos and extensive liner notes filled with insights from the band, this is sure to be the reissue of the year!
