Alternative Passages uncovers unreleased material The Flaming Sideburns recorded between 2007 and 2017—originally part of a shelved project known as Dark Side of the Earth. Now carefully reconstructed with producer Didier Selin and Chaputa! Records, these sessions finally come to life. This 12-track collection features 10 previously unreleased songs, showcasing the band’s signature blend of garage rock, psychedelia, blues, funk, and raw soul power. It captures a unique chapter in the band’s story—recorded without pressure, driven purely by creative fire.

Includes covers of Radio Birdman, The Blues Section, and Vox Dei, plus an early demo of Nibiru 1, hinting at the sound that would emerge on Silver Flames (2021).

This release marks the first in a special series celebrating The Flaming Sideburns’ 30th anniversary.
