Two key figures from Perth’s music scene, James Baker and Dom Mariani (The Stems, DM3, DATURA4), teamed up to record a new and brilliant single under the name The James Baker Beat.
“Friday Night Friends” and “She Said (Bad Weekend)”, both written by James and Dom, are instant garage-punk and pop classics that echo the sound and spirit of early Scientists and The Stems.
They had been talking about working together for a long time, and we’re very glad it finally came to life.
