Description
Pacific Northwest 1990s garage rockers The Statics are back with a new single! It’s only been about 29 years since the last one but who’s counting, certainly not us. Thank god Evan Foster at No Count studios in Seattle was tuff enough to put up with these clowns and actually get a couple good songs out of them, see “Still Primitive – Chaputa! Turns 100” for the other banger from this session.
The A side is a Bo Diddley Sunday Funny Papers inspired romp giving a nod to one of the coolest ‘cats’ of all time, and yes, I literally mean a cat!
The B side is a long lost gem from the 1994 Rat City sessions at the legendary Vinyl Manor in Seattle. It was recorded and mixed by the great Johnny Vinyl. Something new and something old! Two great cuts recorded over 30 years apart and the message is clear, nothin’ has changed since 1994! It’s the same old shit, oh excuse me, ‘magic’ they’ve always seemed to capture! Get yours today!
Tracklist:
A – Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat
B – Kinds of Women
