VA: Keb Darge Presents The Best Of Ace Rockabilly LP
€23.00
Description
(Ace Records) 14 tracks, raw and rare rockabilly tracks, handpicked by Keb Darge – Mastered by Duncan Cowell at Sound Mastering
The legendary DJ Keb Darge fell under the spell of this music when his Japanese girlfriend forced him to go to a “rockabilly” evening in 1989. Johnny Burnette’s “Rockabilly Boogie” fascinated him so much that he soon became a collector of the sought-after top songs, adding thousands of pounds to his collection.
Naturally, Keb took these records and introduced them to new audiences worldwide in his DJ sets. 14 killer tracks were selected for this collection on black vinyl. Starting with “Blue Jeans and A Boy’s Shirt” by Glen Glenn and ending with “All Dressed Up” by Jimmy Johnson. This is an essential compilation not only for those who have been oiling their hair quiffs for decades, but also for those who wonder what rockabilly is all about. And with a cover by the legendary Robin Banks, this album looks as good as it sounds. Featuring Al Ferrier & His Bopping Billies, Carl Trantham & The Rhythm All Stars, Junior Thompson With The Meteors, Pat Cupp & The Flying Saucers, Orangie Ray Hubbard and more.
