It’s always a big thrill to see a new Playboys Lp coming out… Godfathers of the french neo sixties scene since the early 80’s, they are one of the best live acts even nowadays, with their unique blend of fuzz/organ/reverb sound… This new album was engineered in the french Riviera by Andy Rose, UK engineer, mastered by François Terrazzoni at Parelies Studios, and these tracks are a tribute to the french beat sound, 12 original tracks (including two instrumental tracks) and and two covers of Les Problèmes “Je Ne Vois Rien” and Les Sparks “Rien n’a d’Importance”… The title track “Rien ne Va Plus” has lyrics from Jean William Thoury, and the pictures are from french photographer Youri Lenquette.
