Description

Discos Mapacheโ€™s second release features LOS ROBERTS and their best song โ€” recorded twice on two different labels and in two different years, reflecting the fashions and sounds of each era.

The first version was released in 1967 on the tiny Spanish label Berta, and the second one came out on major label EMI-Regal in 1969. The 1967 take leans toward R&B, while the 1969 version dives into a soulful groove made for the dancefloor.

The 1969 release is perhaps one of the most elusive and hard-to-find major label records in Spain.

In collaboration with the members of the band, 400 copies have now been reissued on 7″ black vinyl (large hole), each hand-numbered and accompanied by a 4-page insert (Spanish only) with information about the group, photographs, and two A6 postcards featuring a never-before-seen picture. The sound has been professionally remastered by Vacuum Mastering (the same studio used by prestigious MADMUA Records), and the Mapache logo was designed by renowned artist Mik Baro โ€” the man behind hundreds of garage and rockโ€™nโ€™roll designs.

Also included a special gift: an origami sheet so you can fold your own grasshopper โ€” El Saltamontes!
