The record gathers both atmospheric instrumental passages and spot‑on melodies that unfold in catchy tracks like “The Ghost’s Lullaby,” “Exotic Mirage,” and “The Bridge Of Sighs,” giving the album a cohesive, cinematic narrative arc.

Spookyman’s approach combines touches of science fiction with noir‑tinged guitar lines, stripped‑down blues, and elements of library music, resulting in a personal sound that oscillates between retro cinema and experimental salon music. Crisp arrangements, occasional brass and harmonica passages, and subtle electronics shape the sonic image and emphasize a love of theatrical ornamentation without showy overload.

The project is largely a solo endeavor: Giulio Allegretti, a.k.a. Spookyman, wrote, played, produced, and mixed the recordings in his home studio in Rome; the productions were created between September 2025 and January 2026. Accompanying musicians such as Simone Scifoni (bass, synthesizer, drums), Marco Di Folco (guitar), Andrea Di Giuseppe (harmonica), Federico Ullo (double bass), Gianluca Giannasso (drums), and Simone Nobile (harmonica) enrich the arrangements. The Acousmophone, an acoustic‑electronic instrument constructed by Spookyman himself, deserves special mention, as it lends the album its distinctive sonic character.
