Description

15 track vinyl album with 12-page-full-color booklet,

Wonderlamp Records is proud to reissue for the first time ever all early and scarce 1990s EPs from The Masonics, showcasing the rough, tough sound of the original Toe Rag Studio. The LP traces the development of a band and a sound that gained worldwide appreciation. This LP contains wild garage rhythm and blues by legendary English musicians Mick Hampshire (formerly The Milkshakes), Bruce Brand (formerly The Pop Rivets, The Milkshakes, Thee Headcoats, Holly Golightly), and Liam ‘Toe Rag’ Watson (formerly The Armitage Shanks and producer/engineer of Elephant with The White Stripes).
Masonry features the extraordinary songwriting of Mick Hampshire on 14 of the 15 tracks. It also presents the first solo recording of the legendary Miss Ludella Black (of the world-famous Thee Headcoatees). To top it off, you get the dance-floor favorite “Ooh-Poo-Pa-Doo” from a scarce 2003 Sympathy For The Record Industry compilation.
Also included is a twelve-page booklet with many rare and unpublished pictures, liner notes, and the long-awaited introduction to the secret rites of The Masonics.
