Description
Swinging out of a dense green haze and landing straight on your turntable, Wild Safari Sounds is the latest escape route from Sunnyboy66 Records. This is not just a compilation — it’s a carefully mapped vinyl expedition, pressed in 300 copies only, each one on 180-gram olive green vinyl.
Curated by Surfin Burt, the record digs deep into jungle-exotica, early rock ’n’ roll oddities, rhythm-driven instrumentals and off-grid vocal moments that feel discovered rather than documented. Hypnotic bongos, raw chants, shadowy grooves and strange melodies intertwine like paths through thick undergrowth. Every track sounds like a find — something unearthed, not polished away.
Playful, raw and exploratory, Wild Safari Sounds moves through imaginary sound jungles where rhythms creep, percussion pulses, and unexpected hooks appear without warning. There’s humour, mystery and momentum throughout — a record made for listening from start to finish.
All tracks have been transferred from the original 45s and carefully remastered to preserve their character while giving them new life on vinyl.
This release is made for collectors, explorers and curious listeners — anyone drawn to records that feel like artefacts rather than products.
Drop the needle. Listen closely. Something else is always moving in the trees.
